数々のヒット作を世に送り出してきた、日本屈指の作曲家であり文化人の一面も持ち合わせているマルチなロックンローラー近田春夫(1951)。そして国内外の大手ダンスレーベルから数多くのリリースを重ねてきた実力派DJ/プロデューサーのOMB。この二人はかつて伝説のトランスユニットThe Lunatic Thunderのメンバーとして活躍していたのはご承知のとおり。そんな二人が「ディスコから宇宙に行きたい」という意味がありそうで理解不能なテーマを元に結成されたユニット。それが【LUNASUN】である。毎週セッションを重ね、過去消化してきたロック、ジャズ、ソウル、ヒップホップ、ハウス、トランスなど様々なジャンルを研究し、カラフルな色味を帯びたサウンドとなっている。お互いの得意技は熟知した関係の中、スピード感あるトラックメイキングを敢行。2018年Victorからアルバム[Organ Heaven]リリース。現在世界各国のレーベルからのリリース。

■ LUNASUN (Haruo Chikada, OMB) Haruo Chikada is a multi-talented rock’n’roller who has produced numerous hits and is one of Japan’s leading composers and cultural figures. And OMB, a talented DJ / producer who has released many tracks from major dance labels in Japan and overseas. As you know, they used to be members of the legendary trance unit The Lunatic Thunder. A unit formed based on an incomprehensible theme that seems to mean “I want to go to space from a disco”. This poject is [LUNASUN]. Through weekly sessions, he researches various genres such as rock, jazz, soul, hip-hop, house, and trance that he has digested in the past, and has become a colorful sound. While they are familiar with each other’s special skills, they dare to make tracks with a sense of speed. Released the album [Organ Heaven] from Victor Entertainment in 2018. Currently, it is about to be released new materials from labels around the world.
